Evelo Electric Bikes

Evelo electric bikes come in several models, and the Luna is made for the casual, recreational rider or commuter. It features a step-through-frame, making it easy to mount and dismount. There are plenty of accessories, as well.

EVELO Electric Bike

Evelo electric bikes give you a quiet and smooth ride. The mid-drive motor gives power to the bike. You can either pedal or not, since there is a throttle option. Pedal-assist helps you with added power while you pedal.

You can adjust the pedal-assist with its three settings, This varies the amount of power assist that the bike will provide for you. If you use a lower setting, your range will be longer. There are several gears from which to choose, which keeps riding simple. The right handlebar has a twist grip for gear shifting.

With an average 36 Volt 10 ah battery, the Evelo Luna can take you 27 miles in varying elevations. The lesser wind drags at lower speeds allow the relatively high range. If you pedal more without assistance, your range will be longer.

You won't set any land-speed records on the Evelo electric bike. The Luna is built for comfort and runs 15-20 mph and the Aries, which is a speedier, commuter bike runs about 20 mph. The Aurora, a versatile model that works well for men or women, has a top speed of 20 mph. The Aurora and Aries have higher gearing.

It's Important to Be Centered ...

Since the motor on the Evelo bike is well-centered, close to the ground and near mid-frame, the weight distribution is very effective. The mid-drive motor used on Evelo bikes is efficient, and will even allow you to climb hills. The gears allow you to keep the motor operating at the most effective RPM.

The motors on Evelo bikes are fairly quiet. You may hear occasional whirring, which comes from the gear box doing its job, but you won't hear much else. The LED lights on front and back run off the battery. These bikes come ready to ride.

Evelo bikes have an excellent range, even if you ride on hilly routes. If you go closer to 20 than 15 mph, your range may be less. The motor mounted in the middle also helps add to the range you can expect.

Excelsior!!!

Many electric bikes don't climb hills very well, but the Evelo bikes are good climbers. This is due to the fact that you can shift to lower gears for climbing. You won't hit high speeds going up hills, but you can make it easily without feeling like you are bogged down.

The tires on Evelo bikes work for on-road riding and some light off-roading, as well. The center of the tires is slick and the sides are knobby. They handle themselves well on pavement and on light rocky trails and gravel roads, too.

If you want to ride on hills a lot, you'll find that using your throttle will help, since it will turn the motor off and allow you to shift into gears more suited for the climb. You can even keep your momentum by pedaling during the shifting.
